UTI Systems will exhibit SIS-UM – Deployable Integrated Security System. SIS-UM is a command, control and surveillance system that integrates state-of-the-art sensors, integration hardware and application software to assist the mission of the security forces of military units deployed in a hostile environment.

SIS-UM is designed to increase the security of sensitive locations such as airfields and runways, remote landing areas, aircraft parking areas, command posts and communications centres, mobile radar sensors, mobile logistic support units or field hospitals.

SIS-UM was originally developed by UTI in cooperation with ACTTM (Military Equipment and Technologies Research Agency), and UPB (Bucharest Polytechnic University). A first version of the system was unveiled at ExpoMil 2003 in Bucharest.

Currently UTI carries out an ongoing development process to further adapt the system to the specific mission requirements of the various military services. The integration hardware is built around UTI’s PLC Integrator unit, controlled by the application software system based on UTI’s GFMS software platform. A mix of sensors and physical barriers is available in order to configure the system according to each specific mission.

SIS-UM is certified in compliance with the Romanian Ministry of Defence standard procedures and is already in use by the Romanian Armed Forces.

UTI Systems Inc., a UTI Group company, is a leading Romanian systems integrator. UTI Systems provides the defence and homeland security market with mission and safety critical systems. UTI’s range of defence products includes complex security systems, command and control systems, air-surveillance radars, and information security solutions.
