The Electronic Health Record receives the award “eHealth Project of the Year”

The award was granted by HL7 Romania during the eHealth Next Generation conference, in which UTI participated as speaker, and it is a recognition of the technological value and major social impact of the project.

In April, UTI completed the development, integration and implementation of the Electronic Health Record (Dosarul Electronic de Sanatate), the most complex IT project in Romania in the health sector, and whose technological challenges and results two months from implementation were presented during the conference.

DES is the first project of such complexity in Romania and among the few implemented at an European level in the health field, being a vital part of the CNAS (National Health Insurance Fund) service computerization strategy. The use of HL7 standards in modeling the DES software architecture builds up the premises of further system development by easy integration of similar medical IT systems and by interoperability with eHealth platforms available in the EU.

UTI provides complex solutions for the development and improvement of the medical system: eHealth solutions (the analysis and design of patient information and medical data, software development, integrated networks, data and information security), integrated physical security solutions, building and property management.

The UTI portfolio includes complex installation works and asset management for the Bagdasar Arseni Hospital in Bucharest, the Valcea County Hospital, the Ioan Sbârcea Hospital in Brașov, the Regina Maria network.
